Medical Receptionist - Stafford Street Medical

Situated at the foot of the Blue Mountains in Penrith, in our brand-new purpose-built facility, be the face of this friendly, dynamic and supportive team as the Practice Receptionist, on a full time basis.

Main Responsibilities:
• Opening and closing the practice
• Restocking consultation rooms
• Greeting patients in a friendly and professional manner
• Answering telephone calls and enquiries • Scheduling patient appointments
• Collecting and entering patient details in the Practice Software Data Base
• Processing payments via TYRO/EFTPOS
• Handling of emails
• Handling of incoming and outgoing mail
• ​An interest and sound knowledge of social media platforms ie. Facebook, Instagram and Websites
• Triaging
• Managing and maintaining stationery and office supplies
• Scanning of documentation
• Administration support and other duties as requested by the General Practitioners and Practice Manager
• Maintaining high standard of ethics and confidentiality in all matters pertaining to patients, clients and staff
• Maintaining a clean reception area

The successful candidate:
• Exceptional customer service skills, while previous experience in a similar role is highly desirable it is not essential; entry-level candidates are welcome to apply.
• Outstanding communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Neat and tidy presentation.
• Compassion and empathy towards patients with complex medical needs.
• Moderate level of skill using excel spreadsheets
• An interest/knowledge of social media
• Flexibility with start/finishing times
• Ability to work alternate Saturdays 9:00am-12:00pm
