Kingswood, NSW (hybrid work arrangements may be considered upon application in line with our Work from Home Policy).

Remuneration:

From $77,858 to $83,403* (potential maximum grossed up salary equivalent $85,350 - $90,885**)
*Based on skills and experience
**Based on NFP salary packaging tax benefits (which may be subject to criteria)

About:

The Assistant Accountant will support the Management Accountant in the budgetary management of the business through the maintenance of the company’s management reports, provision of timely and accurate management accounting information and by ensuring compliance with contractual requirements. The role reports to the Finance Manager however some of the day-to-day direction of work will be provided by the Management Accountant.

Selection Requirements

Essential
  • Relevant tertiary qualification in accounting or finance and/or equivalent experience.
  • Exceptional attention to detail with the ability to identify problems and propose solutions.
  • Well-developed and appropriate communication skills both oral and written to engage people from diverse backgrounds.
  • Excellent numeracy skills.
  • Ability to plan and prioritise tasks to meet established and ongoing deadlines for self and team.
  • Proven ability to utilise information technology tools particularly the Microsoft suite to an intermediate level.

Desirable
  • Experience working within a government funded organisation, the not-for-profit sector or within a contracts environment.
  • Experience with MYOB Advanced ERP, Velixo, or any other similar reporting platform.
  • Completed or studying towards CA or CPA qualifications.
