On behalf on Wentworth Healthcare, I would like to acknowledge the challenging times we are all facing as a result of the world-wide COVID-19 pandemic. This is an unprecedented time, on top of an already difficult few months for many in our community dealing with the recent Bushfires.
During this demanding time for the healthcare sector, we remain focussed on supporting our region’s primary care workforce, and our commissioned services, to ensure that our community can continue to access our essential health services.
Like so many businesses across the country, all of our staff have now transitioned to work from home. Whilst we accept that this is no longer business as usual, we are committed to maintaining high quality program delivery and will continue to provide our business activities through these remote arrangements.
I encourage you to continue to contact our teams as you normally would. All of our staff, continue to be available by email and telephone, and meetings can be arranged by video conference where appropriate. If you are unable to reach a team member during this period, don’t hesitate to contact us on 4708 8100 and our reception team will assist you.
We know that social connection is crucial to mental and physical health, and to community recovery after a disaster. The current social distancing recommendations may highlight feelings of isolation for some, or all of us, as our daily norms continue to be disrupted.
I would like to take this opportunity to encourage you to stay connected, to show compassion and to take care of each other. These are testing times, and it is only by working together as a broader community, that we will be able to overcome this crisis.
