Allied Health Clinical Council

The Allied Health Clinical Council (AHCC) is an advisory committee to our Board.

The AHCC focuses on strategies to:

  • improve health and wellbeing of people in our region through high-quality, accessible and integrated primary healthcare
  • address issues facing allied health professionals in the region.

Allied health professionals across a range of disciplines representing all four local government areas in our region are members of the AHCC.

The AHCC meets four times per year. More detail on the role and purpose of the AHCC is detailed in the Terms of Reference.

Are you an allied health practitioner in the region?

Join our Allied Health Clinical Council in 2025, and work with us to help improve health and wellbeing in our region.

We are seeking a dietitian, podiatrist, speech pathologist and an occupational therapist, working in private practice in the Blue Mountains, Hawkesbury, Lithgow or Penrith local government areas to join our Allied Health Clinical Council.

The AHCC meets online for 90-minute sessions, four times a year and offers an opportunity to:

  • Stay ahead of the latest developments in healthcare
  • Play a key role in improving community health and influencing decision-making
  • Advocate for your fellow allied health colleagues, bringing forward your ideas and concerns for open discussion
  • Be involved in the planning stages of quality activities designed to improve healthcare in the region
  • Ensure the perspectives of those actively working within our four LGAs are suitably represented
  • Develop local strategies to improve the performance of the healthcare system
  • Build valuable connections with colleagues across Wentworth Healthcare

Allied health practitioners are remunerated for their time participating in the Allied Health Clinical Council.
